Hello everybody,
Now then as some of you might know, I was made to go off round the country earlier on this year and do a show to loads of people. It wasn’t my idea, I was made to do it by that lot what pull all the strings. I went everywhere, up north, down south and I even had to go to Scotland, but you have to do these things you see. If I’d have had my way I wouldn’t have gone, I’d have stayed at home with my feet up watching Dragons Den with a box of Magnums, but it wasn’t my way..So in the end what happened was, I got to this one place in Digbeth, which is in Birmingham and they’ve got a load of video cameras there and they say right we’re gonna film this and I shrugged my shoulders and said OK. So they did and this is what you’ve got in your hands, the DVD of it, so have a look at it and see what you think.

This is really not as funny as I thought it would be. It just seems exactly the same gags that are on his TV show. If I saw this in a bargain bin somewhere I would probably buy it but wouldn't pay full price for it. He was so much funnier on Shooting Stars.

I wanted to like this! I loved Angelos on Shooting Stars and Soccer AM - he was hilarious. I even saw some "Angelos in France" videos on Youtube a couple years ago and seem to remember enjoying them too.
But this, I didn't enjoy.
I enjoy STANDUP by comedians such as Michael McIntyre, Jasper Carrott, Lee Evans, etc. They expertly and single-handedly mix wit and intelligence into humour, to make the audience laugh. In a stand-up situation, the character of Angelos does not translate well.
In my opinion, the character of Angelos works very well in social interaction scenarios. Even in the stand-up routine, the only parts I thought were slightly reasonable were when Angelos interacted with members of the audience and had people to bounce off of.
In the extras section of the DVD, there is a slightly amusing interview of Angelos, conducted by Bob Mortimer. THIS IS THE BEST PART OF THE DVD. Angelos' even breaks character a few times and laughs at what is being said and how Bob is reacting. I laughed a few times during the interview. I don't think I laughed at all throughout the stand-up.

Rubbish
Being a fan of Angelos on Shooting Stars, this was utter tripe. Only watched it to get my monies worth, sold on ebay for a 6 quid loss. Avoid, about 2 decent jokes throughout.

very funny
The best live DVD I've seen. Most dvds like this involve the comedians just walking up and down looking a bit sweaty but this had so much more to it.
