The Angelcare AC1100 Video with Movement and Sound Monitor not only shows you HD video of your baby, but also detects sound and movement. Clip the small portable parent unit to your belt and monitor your baby on the go. The battery unit lasts for up to 8 hours, when fully charged. The AC1100 will show every movement from your baby through the HD 15 fps camera. It is possible to zoom (+100%) and rotate the camera from the parent unit. The 2.75 inch LCD full-colour digital touch screen parent unit gives you access to all functions, displays settings and the video transmission.
The AC1100 monitor features digital 2.4GHz crystal clear sound transmission, with optimal privacy with more than 60 channels, which are selected automatically. The under-the-mattress SensorPad monitors all your baby’s movements, even the slightest breathing movements. An alarm will sound if no movement has been detected for 20 seconds. There are variable sensitivity settings. With a range of 200 meters, you can also go further without losing touch, keeping track via the out of range indicator. An alarm sounds if connectivity is broken. With volume control and vibration alert features, sound levels can be adjusted to suit you and monitor your baby even with the sound off.

The optional ‘tic’ sound feature reassures you that the monitor is working even when your baby is sleeping silently. The halo on the nursery unit acts as a soothing nightlight and allows you to check your baby with minimal disruption. If you need to feed or change your baby, the sound and movement alarm can be temporarily deactivated with the help of the Hold function. The Angelcare system can be set to continuous or voice-activated sound monitoring. Microphone sensitivity is adjustable so you can hear all sounds in baby’s room or just when baby cries. The units are batteries or mains operated; in case of power failure the monitor reverts to batteries automatically.

We had an old Angel Care monitor which was a combination of movement sensor and baby monitor and it worked great. We were keen to upgrade to a video monitor as out little one slept on a different floor to us and my wife is the nervous type.
The product works well although in our house the reception between the base unit and the had set a little flaky. I have problems with wireless internet my property due to thick walls so use this as an indicator before you buy.
The positioning of the base station can be tricky to get a good picture. Fortunately the unit fits standard tripods which we position at the end of the cot looking down.
As a welcome upgrade from the older unit all functions are now controlled from the handset including turning the movement sensor on and off. The handset also displays the temperature of the room. Didn't realise how useful they were until we had them.
Only downside is that the handset comes with only one cradle with no option to buy any more. I'd find it handy to not have to unplug and move the cradle to charge the unit.

Was looking for a mat that filled my specific requirements harnessed after several friends had problems with their systems. We required a mat that was:
Suitable for use in travel cots
Had temperature alarms
Had video camera functionality
Had a breathing mat that did not set the alarm off if the baby rolled off the centre spot
Was not subject to Wifi interference in the house.
We also have an old house with thick walls and this has been no problem, this system has ticked all our boxes and not given us any reason for concern. Can highly recommend this to anyone and have done to several friends. The range on the ma is great and the controls are easy to use.

although more costly than other video monitors available i bought this one as it had the sensor mat too. I have been using it for a few weeks now and would not be without it, my only regret is not buying it sooner. The colour day time picture quality is good, and the infrared night time picture is great too. I love that it also gives you the temperature of the room the baby is in, and that you can set the alarm to ring if it gets too hot or too cold in the room at temperatures which you choose. The movement monitor is fab and works great. The instruction manual, although at first looked quite daunting is very simple. For any one who wants complete piece of mind, this is your monitor :)
