...are the Angel series books so difficult to get hold of? Why aren't they at least a TV series? I guess with the glut of comedy detectives we've had over the last decade, Angel didn't find a place, but he should.
The characters are painted so perfectly, you can at least imagine one or two of our talented British actors playing them. Mike Ripley shows no bias towards any one of them either - they are shown warts and all, including the hero, and refreshingly, including his girlfriend - this, coming from a girl who's sick of blatant feminism and false 'girl power' portrayed in so many novels, films, the media in general in fact.
So impressed was I, I was willing to buy a few of the Angel series, only to find they are more readily available in the US, rather than the UK, yet this is funnier than most British films. The comic timing is just brilliant. Why don't we have any respect for home grown talent?
