This volume was longer than I expected, quite substantial collection actually. Enjoyed all the stories (especially the first one, The Curse) but found some of them confusing at times (eg. couldn't figure out what part of the series Old Friends was set in). Definitely worth getting for anyone missing the TV series like me even if you're not usually a comic fan.

There are three longish stories which deal with events after Angel Season 5 has finished but appear to be beyond the "After The Fall" series which document the events following on directly from the TV series. The main stories are "The Curse", "Old Friends" and "Auld Lang Syne". Also included are short Spotlight stories on Illyria, Gunn, Wesley, Doyle and Connor which occur during the first five seasons.

I am not usually a fan of comics but the stories are well constructed in the gritty "realism" sense of the Angel series and I did not think that any one was out of character. There are a few surprises along the way and the art work is very good.

In the long stories the main characters have gone their own way - but that doesn't make it less entertaining. The Spotlights are mainly part of Season 5 giving further insight into the characters and their relationship. Worth £13? Well I think so but that does depend how badly you need an Angel fix.
