This beautiful woodcraft piece is a must have for those who like woodcraft construction. I have many woodcraft animals and out of all of them this Angel Fish is the most elegant. If you haven't done something like this before then the instructions may look complex and confusing; at some point you may get frustrated. I would not recommend it if you haven't done woodcraft before now. The Angel Fish is quite fiddly and the pieces have a tendency to fall off constantly so if you're not a fan of glue you might find it troublesome to complete. Although the age range for this is 8+, I would not recommend giving it to young children as it is tricky and frustrating to assemble and it is most likely that an older member of the family will have to assemble it instead. However, when completed, the Angel Fish stands perfectly by itself and looks fantastic.

This kit is not bad. Looks very complicated when you open the package but it is not that difficult to put together, even though there are very few instructions. Would be nice to build with a child( Most would need help I think) as it teaches them the parts of a fish. It also needs a little sanding before you put it together and could be varnished or painted afterwards so could keep children occupied for a while and they have a great looking and unusual fish at the end of it. Not bad at all. I would glue it too as some "scales" do drop out.
