From M.D. Grayson comes the action packed Danny Logan debut mystery, Angel Dance.

Praise for Angel Dance:
"The intensity continues to build. Just when you think you have it solved, Grayson throws you a wild curve. It was an excellent read. I highly recommend it."
Mack McCormick
Author, Terrorist at the Bus Stop

"Angel Dance was so much fun to read that I completed it in one day in Cape Cod on vacation. In fact, I resented anyone who interrupted my reading time!"

Overview:
Gina Fiore - beautiful Seattle heiress has vanished.
A foreign drug cartel and a Chicago organized crime family are looking.
Can Danny Logan rescue her before the noose closes?

More praise for Angel Dance...
"Stuart Woods WAS one of my favorite authors, with the ability to put an unexpected twist to the story, but look out, first time novelist MD Grayson has written a smart and colorful page turner. I never thought I would enjoy a wild ride through drug cartels and crime families, but a weekend read, turned into a book I could not put down..... Can't wait for the next book!"
Jan Porter
Book Reviewer

"With two more books in the works and a cast of interesting characters awaiting development, this author is worth watching."

If you enjoy the intrigue of Gone, Baby, Gone, the wit of Janet Evanovich, the wisdom of Travis McGee and the roller coaster action of Magnum P.I., you are going to LOVE Angel Dance

**If you were looking for M.D. Grayson's extremely compelling Mystery-Thriller No Way to Die, look for an advance release on the 4th of July! But be warned - the stakes for Logan and crew have never been higher - you won't want to put No Way to Die down!

**If you were looking for M.D. Grayson's newest Mystery-Thriller Isabel's Run, look for an advance release in September.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fluid, well-written, and most enjoyable 21 Aug 2012
By Annie W
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Prologue apart, Angel Dance is written in the first person, and flows effortlessly (for the reader) from start to finish, with no awkward breaks as another character intervenes - other than almost at the end, when Toni's perspective is vital to what follows. While the plot involves a disappearance, more than one murder, drug cartels and local mafia, seeing it all unfold through Danny Logan's eyes keeps it fresh. Danny, too, is particularly interesting, as he not only leads the reader through the process of his investigation, but also reveals his own thoughts and opinions (so delightfully honest and non-PC, but exactly what many of us think and are not allowed to say in public). It is through his thoughts that we learn about his background, the past experiences which have shaped him into the man he has become, with the mental baggage he carries, and, ultimately, makes believable the magnetic pull Gina still has over him when they meet for the first time since he was a naive and immature young man.

The other characters is the book are exceptionally well-drawn, and the author shows a great descriptive skill in even the incidental players, who leap vividly from the page without the least hint of cliche, which would have been such a simple trap.

The subtle mention of real crimes committed by named criminals of whom even non-Americans have heard, increases the realism of this plot, too, while the descriptions of the city are enthralling.

Angel Dance is extremely well crafted, and it's not the author's fault that I'd already guessed the twist in the tale before Danny and Toni did; indeed, M D Grayson is so skilled, I'm not sure that wasn't deliberately encouraged to make me think I was so clever!

I've already bought the sequel, "No Way to Die", and can only hope there will be more to come.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great story with characters you can care about 23 May 2014
By Aurora
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Having thoroughly enjoyed No Way to Die (Danny Logan Mystery #2) I was prompted to find the first book in the series and start at the beginning. This was an entirely different book from the one which follows, and gives us an understanding of many of the things which are already established in that book. The working relationship between Danny and Toni is intuitive and strong. He has utmost trust in her, not only in her abilities, but in her loyalty, perception and judgement. He knows that she sees things more clearly that he does and that she often grasps the complexities of a situation faster than he does. Why is it then that he so often makes decisions or takes action without telling her what is happening until things are under way? His actions often test her loyalty to stretching point as she is not reticent to point out to him. It is usually when he acts without consulting her that he ends up in trouble, maybe one day he will realise that?

The staff at Logan Private Investigations works well as a team, although in this book they are still settling down together and developing their relationships. When it comes to the bad guys however, you can never take anyone at face value, what you see is not always what you get! As for the victim of the story - when is a missing person not a missing person? Is she dead or alive? Is there some sleight of hand here? Is she missing through choice or coercion and how on earth will Danny get her back to her family, or even will he be able to restore her to her family? Will Gina end up doing the Angel Dance? Some questions have answers, some do not.

This is a great story with characters you can really care about. I enjoyed it very much

5.0 out of 5 stars A Rivetting Read. 17 July 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I read this book on my recent holiday and I couldn't put it down. The story moved fast and is written with a lovely fluid style which made it a dream to read. The characterisation was great; I really felt that I knew the characters. The descriptions were so good that I could picture the places mentioned. Bring on the next one!

4.0 out of 5 stars Really Enjoyed This 17 April 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I really enjoyed this first one of the Danny Logan series. I already have the next two downloaded as the author's been releasing them on free promotions which is very kind of him. I really liked Danny and he has a great team of co-workers around him, especially Toni, and I look forward to reading more about them all. I didn't guess the ending at all which was good.
He only lost one star for me because of some mistakes in it that let it down, some that were very obvious and should have been easily spotted-they certainly smacked me in the face ! If it had only been the obligatory e-book errors of missing apostrophes and spaces dumped into words quite randomly I'd not have minded so much.......sadly, I've come to expect those nowadays. But day-today warranted another hyphen, then a character called Karen Brown worked in shipping on one page and accounting on the next which was pretty careless as was Gina asking something when it was Kara doing the asking at one point.Sites was then used where sights was meant.
He used an expression that annoyed me a little as he kept repeating it-Hooah....there were some very funny lines in it as well, though.
The book did end at 81% in and the remainder was the author's other work then the Table of Contents at the back as well. I don't understand why that was there and not at the beginning which would've made a lot more sense to me !
