Andy Seed grew up in Cheshire before settling down in North Yorkshire where he became a primary school teacher. After being inspired by a poet visiting his school, Andy began writing for children and teachers, putting the emphasis on fun, wordplay and creativity. In 2008 his humorous miscellany 'How to Spot a Hadrosaur in a Bus Queue' was chosen by the School Library Association as one of the top 100 books to encourage boys to read.
After appearing on The Alan Titchmarsh Show, Andy began writing a series of nostalgic memoirs about his days as a young teacher in the Dales, with the first, 'All Teachers Great and Small' described by the Daily Mail as 'heart-warming and hilarious'.
He now splits his work time between writing and travelling around schools, enthusing children about books and reading.
Andy is a table tennis enthusiast, a big Man Utd fan and a haphazard gardener. He is married with three children.
