Inspiring stuff! 17 Aug 2010
Format:Hardcover
Brilliant! This large book was a real treat from cover to cover. It feels great from the moment you hold it and you just know it's gonna be full of photographic gold! Goldsworthy's enviromental Art is beautifully captured in stunning pictures taken by the artist himself. The fleeting nature of his work, which probably returned back to nature it'self shortly after being photographed, is there for you to see in the glorious, glossy pages of this marvelous book. It's a must for admirers of Goldsworthy's work. It is also a great tool as an inspirational starting point for teachers who wish to set children off on similar projects of their own. Children of all ages, from FS1 to A level, can create a 'Goldsworthy' style piece of artwork using this book for ideas. Obviously most of his artwork is extremely skilled and difficult, but simple pieces are easy to achieve. A good companion to this book is the DVD 'Rivers and Tides', showing Goldsworthy himself creating his artwork and talking about them. The book and DVD together are a must. This book is great as a real study of an inspiring enviromental artist, or just as a delightful coffee table muse. By it now, you won't be disapointed!

Splendid album 25 Sep 2010
Format:Hardcover
I love Goldsworthy's artwork and couldn't decide which book of him to choose (as a birthsday present). Happy I chose this one as it shows a wide range of his works with very good photos and short commentaries that sometimes help a lot to understand what exactly it is you are seeing. So it's a good choise if you want an overall image of his works.
