Product Description

Android is a top open source project that powers millions of mobile devices. But, it all started back in 2005, when a small startup called Android, Inc. was acquired by Google. With the acquisition of Android Inc, Google entered the mobile space. Later in 2007, together with other major companies, Google created the Open Handset Alliance consortium with the goal of promoting Android as a standard for mobile platforms. Today Android has taken the mobile industry by surprise with major 3rd-party handset manufacturers and network operators around the world embracing Android. In addition, the Android ecoystem and developer community, both key elements of Android's success, are very strong. In fact, a recent study indicates that Android devices are being sold at the rate of 350,000 a day.Safari Books Online provides full access to all of the resources in this bibliography. Just a collection of links to paid books 14 Sep 2011
By Dawid Kopiec - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This is just a collection of links that let you buy books. These books are IMHO not worth its price, so this position is quite useless.

Safari links allows you to flip through beginning of each chapter as if you were in a b&m store 19 Mar 2012
By Ali Julia - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This bibliography allows you to quickly narrow down which books you might want to buy on-line where you don't have a chance to flip through the pages of the book as you would if you were in a brick and mortar store.

Bibliography entry for each book contains a description of what is covered in the book, price, and a link to Safari Books Online. This is the key to the usefulness of this bibliography. Even if you don't have a subscription you can see a little bit of each chapter to get the flavor for how the book is written and organized. It is like having the book in your hands!

Bibliography covers
1) Android core application concepts: Android SDK, Eclipse IDE, helping develop teh first Android application
2) JavaScrpt, CSS3, HTML5 to create mobile web applications using native Android functionality
3) 2D and 3D gaming and communications, using Native Development Kit using existing C and C++ programs.
4) How to make money selling your applications

This bibliography helped me narrow down the search of the books I wanted to buy with higher confidence. It is a great additional tool to reading book reviews.
