I'm a cyclist! Always have been and hopefully always will be. But I'm also a lover of those quirky, humorous travelogues that meander comically from one minor adventure to the next. So writing about a long-distance cycling trip across Europe seemed the natural thing to do once my small-time odyssey was over. When not on the saddle, I teach French at a secondary school in southern England although my roots are further north in the heart of Pennine Yorkshire. One day I may return, who knows, but for the moment I shall continue to try extol the virtues of everything francophone to my pupils in Oxfordshire while planning my next pan-European adventure...
