A J MARSHALL
About Andrew Marshall
Andrew was born in South Wales, but grew up in the London area. As a teenager, he joined the Royal Navy where he studied aeronautical engineering before transferring to flying duties. He flew both helicopters and aeroplanes and recalls his best years as a Search and Rescue pilot in the west of England. After leaving the military in the mid nineties he joined the airlines, gaining experience in a variety of sectors. He is presently a corporate pilot flying the Dassault Falcon 7X long range business jet - arguably the world's most advanced commercial aircraft. He began his literary career more than ten years ago, writing short stories and drama in his spare time.
Andrew's love of aviation, space and science reflects in his work where his novels have been described as "science fiction at its most believable". The fifth and final book in his acclaimed "Kalahari Series" was published in September 2011. This series is now available in eBook format.
Andrew is presently working on the opening book in his new "First Colony" series. This original and imaginative five-book science fiction work charts the life and times and trials and tribulations of the first Luman© - a human born in the lunar colonies. The independent publishing company MPress Books Limited of the United Kingdom is publishing "Evolution" in April 2013 and plans each subsequent book around the same time annually until 2017.
The First Colony Series:
First Colony - Evolution
First Colony - Forgotten Gods
First Colony - Quantum
First Colony - Planets
First Colony - Thoughts
Andrew lives in the United Kingdom, works all over the planet, and his favourite place is Mauritius. He normally carries a novel by Ian Fleming in his bag, plus another.
