This grill surpassed all expectations, I expected it to be a slow cook experience, but it is the opposite, I have not turned the thermostat beyond 3 ( max is 5) and have been able to cook, sausages, steak, eggs bacon just about everything.
It is a good size, so you are able to get enough food on to keep the family of 4 satisfied.
This is an excellent addition to my camping and BBQ experience.

December 2012 : I now use this in the house alongside the Hob. Excellent for cooking your Bacon and eggs in the morning, at this new price of £19.99 I may buy another. The non stick is still non stick ... amazing.

We purchased this griddle after using one in a friends Condo in Florida USA whilst on holiday and being suitably impressed. It is superb and we use it every day for cooking Bacon,and also frequently to cook Sausage, Chops, Steaks,Burgers etc, the fat runs off into a little trough, so the food is healthily fat minimalistic, and the griddle surface is really high quality, heavy duty, non stick and only needs a wipe or two to keep it clean and ready for it's next use. We wouldn't be without it in our kitchen, and it could also be a useful addition to a barby using an extension socket,to the garden, weather permitting in good old Blighty that is!!! We love this griddle and would recommend everyone to have one, much easier than frying pans or double sided hinged health grills, and more economic to boot !!try one and see!!

I thought I would add my two cents considering the mixed reviews this has received. I purchased it after reading the reviews deciding that for £20 it was worth the risk.
The packaging was very good and came without any damage to packaging or contents. It also came quite quickly which is one of the things I judge purchases by. I started out trying things like hamburgers, bacon, homestyle fried potatoes and onions and american style pancakes. The thermostat worked quite well, didn't turn off for long periods of time as some reviewers experienced and it was easy to cook with. Judging that it had survived the initial trial, I then did a brunch for 50 church goers with pancakes, hash browns and bacon being cooked on the griddle. Again, it worked flawlessly and really saved us from being overly stressed.
To answer some of the other negative comments. It does feel light weight compared to caste iron ones I have had in the past but this is aluminum and the actual amount of metal seems to be the same from what I remember of the old ones. There was no wobble; the legs were solid and not bent. I did follow the directions specifically about starting with the thermostat turned down and then turning it up after I plugged that in but whether that made a difference, I don't know. The one slightly understandable flaw is that the end furthest away from the thermostat was not quite as hot as the rest of the surface (may 5cm in from the edge). This is easy to see when cooking a lot of small pancakes but it was certainly understandable.
All I can say is that I have no complaints and feeding breakfast to 50 people quickly was more than worth the £20 invested. Now any future use is just added return on investment.
