I decided to start making my own pizza's a short while ago and had several failed attempts prior to buying this Andrew James Pizza Stone set. The problem I was having was uneven cooking, the dough sticking and basically my pizza's not cooking as they should. I started to research how to actually make the perfect pizza and soon learned that I needed a pizza stone. But such a choice! so which one to buy...I began my search.

After a good while researching different pizza stones by different manufacturers, taking into account manufacturer reputation and also any customer feedback I could get my hands on, I finally chose this one, by Andrew James via Amazon.

Its great! Why? Firstly, it arrived very quickly via Andrew James direct (via Amazon ordering) and it arrived very well packed and in perfect condition. Secondly, in use it is absolutely marvelous! Upon taking it out of the box I liked the look and feel of it, it felt like quality and it looked good. I immediately set about making some pizza dough in my bread maker and an hour later I was placing my rolled out dough onto this pizza stone (pre-heated in the oven so that it was piping hot when I placed my dough onto it) I then designed my ultimate pizza with all my favourite toppings on and put it in the oven to wait anxiously to see what happened.

Whoo hoo! Finally I had perfect pizza. It came out well risen, perfect in shape (no shrinkage) and best of all, it was perfectly cooked and NO STICKING when I removed it. I sliced it directly on the pizza stone (be sure to place that directly onto the stand that it comes with when you take it out of the oven and use good oven gloves, its HOT) and plated up. My hubby praised me no end for my talents at pizza making. My pizza was great! I left half of the pizza on the stone whilst we ate the first half and it was a good 20 minutes later that we tucked into the second half which was still PIPING hot as I had left it on the stone and it had retained its heat. So, you don't even have to eat your pizza all at once, straight away, it stays hot on the stone. The pizza cutter it came with sliced through my pizza effortlessly and worked beautifully.

I can fault it not at all, its perfect. Fantastic results, fantastic value and a seller who very kindly even sent me a message via Amazon to thank me for my seller feedback I left. They also asked me if I would be kind enough to leave a product review upon testing and using the pizza stone and I am delighted to do that here now.

This is great! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this pizza stone set and Andrew James, the seller.

10/10 for value, looks and efficiency. Perfect.

This product has turned my slightly burned on the outside, slightly soggy in the middle pizzas into things of crisp delight and wonderment. The stone is a solid item, and the stand is a much needed extra that stops it melting my counter top. Oh and the cutter is very, very sharp too.

Combined with a pizza peel this has made pizza night at my house a thing of wonderment once again - honestly I'm making better pizzas than I can buy from my local shop with this.

**Pros**
Solid
Good extras
Aesthetically pleasing
Fairly easy to clean
Fits in a 60cm wide oven perfectly
Keeps pizza warm during dinner

**Cons**
Why oh why did I not buy one soon?
Not dishwasher safe (obviously!)

Works well ignore the bad reports they are not using it properly, just remember to put corn flour under pizza or the bread you are making

Bought as a present for someone that had had a nightmare cooking pizza. Didn't take it too seriously but it is really good.

The stone is large but not too heavy, so it is easy to move the pizza stone with pizza on top. It heats up quickly, and definitely makes all the difference to achieving a crispy pizza base.

The recipe given is in cups, and we found we used far less flour than stated, but it is just a basic white bread dough mix. We will probably try out other dough recipes too. The recipe given makes quite a bit of dough!

The only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars, is that the instructions say to not cut the pizza on the stone, but there is a pizza wheel included. Found this a little contradicting. We did however, cut the pizza on the stone as it was served, however, we snipped the crust with scissors first, so as not to apply too much pressure on the stone and all was fine.

I bought this primarily for baking bread, not making Pizza. That has proved an excellent side benefit however!
The stone elevates my sourdough baking to new heights. Having a polenta strewn hot stone to chuck the dough onto makes for a level of rise and crispness previously unattainable.
Brilliant!

I'd been contemplating getting a pizza stone for some time. Having now purchased and used my Andrew James stone I regret not doing so much sooner. At last I can successfully cook a pizza which has a crispy base without the risk of burning the toppings. I also use the stone when cooking scones, with great results.

How good is this item, have waited before writing a review, so I could use the item first. We as a fmily really like it, no more soggy pizza's, whether home made or shop bought, would definately recommend it.

You need to take care when using this stone made from ceramic. Treat it as you would treat a normal plate as you will have no problems using it.

Warm the stone from cold as it was the bottom of the oven. Just be careful when you bring it out and make sure you use the stand.

I like home cooking; home made pizzas (including the base) and naan breads. I've found the stone has remove the "sogginess" from the pizza bases and made them crisp. For naans it has made them softer and they rise better giving you that "hollow" inside. Next thing I will try is English muffins.

Interestingly this stone came with a pizza cutter, but they do not recommend using it whilst the pizza is on the stone!

This has been great. Pizza bases were much crisper. I don't think I have mastered the art of getting uncooked pizza onto the hot stone in the oven or of removing it again after cooking. My oven is so dirty because of all the corn flour which has fallen off the stone.
I have been so careful to follow the instructions about warming the ston up and cooling it down, but mysteriously the stone cracked into two whilst in the oven. I don't know why but I wonder if the pizza I put on the stone was a bit too cold (I had frozen it from the week before and whilst it was defrosted, maybe it was too cold for the hot stone?)
The cutter, incidentally, is the best I have ever owned!
