As anyone who uses straighteners will tell you (my two daughters especially) there are many makes and models out there, some good, some bad, but a general guide of quality is max heat setting. The Andrew Collinge 230 Digital Tourmaline Straightener here gives you 230C (446F) which is the upper end in performance ratings, and these are very good. Nice design, locking clasp for travel and storage, gift bag and so on. My only complaint, and it's a big one, is ergonomics. The temperature control buttons are placed on the handle in such a way that it's almost impossible not to keep accidentally adjusting the settings while you're using them. I would have given five stars had it not been for this, as for the price these are well made, durable and give good results.

This straightener works great and you can train your hair to sit the way you want it within a couple of days. However...the cord is just WAY too short. What were they thinking? If you don't have your mirror right beside a power socket (and even then you might struggle) you'll have to rearrange your bedroom. It's very, very annoying. A good product otherwise, but the short cord might make you want to check out other straighteners before committing to this one.

These hair straightners are really good they get hot so quickly, also they have a very noticeable light to show that they are on, this stops my kids forgetting to turn them off.
There is one problem though the cord is quite short which makes styling quite difficult. I suppose it depends where your socket and mirror is but for us it only just does the job. If the cord was longer they would be a five star product.Andrew Collinge 230 Digital Tourmaline Straightener
