After shampooing and conditioning, dry your hair off completely. Should your hair be particularly wavy or thick, a styling, straightening product will definitely be beneficial. Raking your fingers through the hair whilst drying or using a paddle brush on curlier hair will give you a smoother result before you start straightening. My wife is delighted with these straighteners: so much so she didn't hesitate to give it five stars (and she's generally pretty picky about these things). She says that compared to corded straighteners these were at least as effective and have all the convenience of complete portability. After the initial charging they performed well for between half to one hour on the maximum setting and she was highly satisfied with their performance - easily the equal of her other (two) straighteners. Naturally they are a little chunkier and heavier than conventional straighteners but comfortable and easy to use. They also come supplied with a carrying pouch which, for a change, actually seems useful and robust. Despite my cajoling to get her to say something critical of the product she said she couldn't think of anything (which must be a first!). Anyway, my wife says she can't see the need to go back to using her other corded straighteners and will use these from now on which, I suppose, is quite a ringing endorsement. Just remember to recharge them every few uses.

I got the straighteners for my wife, here's what she thought:
I was excited to be getting cordless straighteners as I thought they would be ideal for when I'm out and about.
I was impressed that they only needed to be charged for three hours before use. I was expecting to have to charge them over night. I decided to try them without using my other straighteners first. They were easy to use and lightweight but I wasn't too impressed with their straightening capability. My hair wasn't as sleek as I had hoped. I then decided to use them another day when I had already straightened my hair in the morning. I went out shopping and popped them into my handbag, they fit perfectly. I decided to use them whilst out and about and was happy with the results. I was a little wind swept and they made my hair sleek again.
I have decided that I will use them as an accessory in my handbag. They work better when you've straightened your hair before hand. At under fifty quid they are a perfect accessory for your handbag.

I have GHD straighteners for home but bought these to use at work as I walk to work and get a bit frizzy!! They are not in the same league as GHDs but I have to say I am happy with them for the purpose of touching up at work. They warm up really quickly and the heat proof bag that comes with them is a real bonus.
