I have just read the review written by Mr Lockyear and was most disappointed to discover that he had only given this concert 2 stars. I believe he stated that he had expected two dics and only received one. Having already bought this disc myself I know that there is only one. I think perhaps My Lockyear scanned the product information and saw the "2" as being the number of discs and not the REGION.
Without giving too much away Andre as usual provided unexpected entertainment to his audience. The setting was beautiful and his programme was superb as always.
This was one of his earlier concerts, and although great, not the spectacular that Andre's fans have come to expect of his concerts dating from 2005.
Australia only heard of Andre in 2007 and his popularity soared like no other entertainer before him. He reached the top of the charts for all music that year Down Under. Watch Andre Rieu: Live in Australia [DVD] [2008] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] and you will certainly see a great difference in every aspect of his concerts.
If you wish to watch the beginning of Andre & Co's development from 2000 to 2009 then this is definitely a DVD to buy. The dreams have only started.

Allowing for the fact that this is taken in the summer of 2000 and they were just beginning to shine, the photography is abbysmal, close your eyes and the music is as good as ever but open them and I wonder if the photographers were interested in music or just in video display. Years ago, when I was a member of s cine club, this would have been shown as an example of 'how not to do it', all that zooming to the horizon and spiralling into the applauding audience makes my head hurt and the shots of the orchestra are peculiar to say rhe least, have they got something against the clarinetists? Just shut your eyes and think of music. Photogaphy yuk. Music superb. Jim Robson

Andre Rieu and the other musicians look a bit younger as it is recorded in 2000.Andre Rieu has also a few guests to perform with from Russia. Some of the tracks are also performed in the Royal Albert Hall D.V.D. This is a of a disappointment as its only 60 minutes long. Surely the actual show is more than an hour. Andre Rieu performed yet another brilliant performance. With the musicicians. This includes one disc and on the same disc some extras. And the D.V.D is on Region 2 for U.K. Which Andre Rieu D.V.Ds on region 2 are very rare.
