I bought the 2006 edition of this DVD earlier this year for my father as he loves listening to Strauss Waltzes, & it did not disappoint us. It starts with the orchestra arriving in horse drawn carriages & it just gets better from there with Mr Rieu captivating the audience with music, dancers & singers, there was also comedy with one member of the orchestra being hit with a foam hammer after he gets carried away with himself! & another two stripping off for the 'Feast of Fire' as they need someone to play the Anvil! in one section Karl Moik brings his dog 'Grizzly' on to accompany him, there are ice dancers including the German champions Aljona Savtschenko & Robin Szolkowy dancing to 'My heart will go on' which was obviously filmed earlier in the year as you can see the ladies of the orchestra are wearing little jackets to keep themselves warm, & finally don't forget DJ Otzi finishing the evening off.
It was certainly money well spent for the pleasure it gave us.

I have seen other dvd's of Andre Rieu nd his orchestra and loved them so I was prompted to buy one for myself; and am I glad I did! This is a most magical and entertaining DVD I have seen in a long time; from beginning to end it is spell-binding! Such good prenentation, with a mixture of dance and song (very amusing in places)and beautifully played, I'd recommend this DVD to anyone.

A Thoroughly entertaining show from start to finish. It was filmed in July 2006 & set in front of the
beautiful Schonbrunn Palace/castle in Vienna (Mr Rieu's favourite building) & home of Strauss music.
For over 2hours Violinist/Conductor entetains the summer crowd with lovely played waltzes, marches,
& polkas, as well as some fun & frolicks. This is very lavishly filmed in high quality colour, picture & sound,
which highlights the stunning dresses & costumes. There is somthing for eveyone here, with
horses and carriages, golden coach with emperor/empress, ice skaters/dancers, ballet dancers,
TENORS & Sopranos, it is a real feast for the eyes & a must see. If you like this, you'll also like:
Live in Austrailia. Highly recommended by a No1 fan.

very enjoyable dvd. Very entertaining with lovely music and scenery as set at Schonbrunn in Vienna. Andre Rieu is very talented.

If like me you can't afford to go to Andre Rieu concerts, this is the next best thing. Lights off, glass of wine and Andre Rieu in concert..... heaven.

There is little point reviewing anything King Andre does - just give it 5 stars -sit back - ENJOY - I realise it sounds simple but that what makes it so magical

not bad
we think this was quite good andre seemed a bit subdued at the start
