Time to digress slightly - I'm a budding creative who wants to go into animation, and I remembered that the music from this series inspired a lot of the images and scenarios I'm trying to work with now. But the human memory is a passive medium, and soon I'd forgotten the little intricacies and sweeping grandiosity that sparked my imagination so much. Worse still, when I finally got the expendable income I needed to buy such frivolities as this (I was pretty young at the time), I found the BBC had discontinued the CD. Ouch.
However, I recently managed to pick it up from here, via Avatar Music - and I can safely say that time has not dulled my fondness for the music. It's subtle, beautiful, playful and majestic; sometimes all at once. If you're a bit sick of listening to generic rock/pop rubbish, snap this up whenever it's availible, stick it on, roll your eyes backwards into your head and just allow yourself to be taken on whatever journey your mind and the music collaborate to provide you with. Trust me: it's invigorating stuff. Highly recommended.
