But then Andy's not Neil Young. This welcome 1973 re-release is arguably not Andy Roberts' greatest hour (I prefer "Home Grown" or "Nina and the Dream Tree"), but it's pretty good nonetheless. Featuring great session men like BJ Cole and Zoot Money, this was set to launch a road trip to promote the album, but it all fell apart as record companies and artistes changed hands. A real shame.
Andy wrote all the tracks, and there are some gems, including "Speed Well" and the title track. A great example of 1970's folk-rock, which provided the inspiration for many of today's warblers. Andy, bless him is still gigging, and if you can catch him with Iain Matthews, his old Plainsong buddy, then beg, borrow or steal a ticket.
