Biography

BEHEMOTH have always pushed the limits of their abilities and defied the boundaries of death and black metal. Now, the Polish metal kings have returned with a new offering, The Apostasy, which is destined to become both the defining release of the band's career and one of the most revered and dynamic offerings the genre has seen in years. 5.0 out of 5 stars And the Forests Dream Eternally....... 6 Feb 2008
By Kerry - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
An EP released by Polish Black Metal band Behemoth back in 1993..."And the Forests Dream Eternally" is a very influential and truely important album for Black Metal.

"No Trends! F**k Weakness! No More Fun Stuff! Kill Trendy Idiots!"
This was the dawning of black metal. Mayhem had just made Black Metal the scariest genre of music to date. Church burnings, grave desecreations and even murder were becoming the meaning of Black Metal, and becoming more important than the music itself to many. The media cautioned parents to keep their children completely away from anything having to do with this style of music. Trend followers and posers did not, and still do not, understand the meaning of this style of music. It was haunting, it was satanic and people were scared. As for the few others, they didnt care about following the stupid trends of others and fitting in. They began to rise up together and make music- the ultimate rebellion music- BLACK METAL! One man by the name of Adam Darski, living in the cold, barren lands of Poland, was only fourteen when he took up the name Nergal and began making black metal, practically all by himself. With a little contribution from his friends Baal and Frost, he otherwise entirely made his first EP on his own and called it "And the Forests Dream Eternally". Terribly raw production and utter noise made from heavily distorted guitars, organ bursting 4-string, machine gun hellhammers and ghoulish, evil, maniacal screaming, Behemoth's first EP sounds like the noise one would hear while in Satan's torture chamber.

The album is an amazing work of art for black metal. It is completely trendkill black metal, and in the words of Nergal,...."This trendkill MCD is dedicated to my few evil brothers who keep the pagan flame still burning!!!!".
HAIL BEHEMOTH, HAIL GRAVELAND, HAIL POLAND and of course HAIL BLACK METAL.

...."ALL LETTERS FROM TRENDY, NORMAL IDIOTS WILL BE IGNORED!".....
