Description
With their second album, Ancora, Il Divo take original music and well-known tracks, both old and new, and turn them into unique masterpieces via their beautiful and distinctive voices. Modern classics such as Mariah Carey's "Hero" and Eric Carmen's "All By Myself" are given a refined classical twist with lyrics sung in Spanish; also included is a rousing Italian version of "Unchained Melody". Among the originals are the beautifully stripped down "Si Tuacute; Me Amas" and the duet "I Believe In You", performed in English and French with Celine Dion.

Format:Audio CD
This album contains unique and utterly divine interpretations of some well-known songs, as well as some new material.
I've never been a fan of Whitney Houston, so I listened apprehensively to 'Hero'; however, it blew me away! My own personal favourite is 'I Believe' featuring Celine Dion - it gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Their version of 'Unchained Melody' is stunning, as is 'Ave Maria'.
In fact, the whole album is stunning - an aural treat, whether classical music is your 'bag' or not!
Each voice has it's own superb qualities and they are showcased in style, on Ancora. (My favourite is Urs' tenor vocals - a smooth, silky voice that sends shivers up my spine when he solos..it is he who instroduces 'Holy Night'...a beautiful voice for a beautiful song!)
You won't be disappointed with this - in fact, I prefer this album to the first...but only just!

I thought this Album was unique in its variation of modern and classical music combined with four excellent voices that really work together. I am thoroughly enjoying listening to is time and time again. I would certainly recommend it.

Surely after such an amazing first album, they can't produce such fantastic and captivating songs second time round?
Well they have and it is truly superb! This time round there are less English lyrics and we see alot of Spanish and some lovely French pieces.
Best songs include:

and for the lucky English fans an extra UK Bonus Track *Esisti Dentro Me*...TRUST ME IT IS WORTH BUYING AN ENGLISH IMPORT JUST FOR THIS SONG...IT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SONG ON THE ALBUM.
Very very moving lyrics regardless of the language...songs to wake you up in the morning...songs to send you to sleep...and songs to cry along too.
A great mix of songs, fantastic voices and perfect harmonies!
RECOMMENDED FOR EVERYONE OF ANY AGE GROUP AND BACKGROUND!

Great CD

What an amzing CD this is. Beautifully produced. The voices are superb. So moving, I would like everyone in the whole world to listen and enjoy this CD. It moves me to tears.
