Product Description

Any mention of Egypt immediately conjures up images of the awe inspiring pyramids, the great Sphinx at Giza, the huge temple complex at Karnack, the legendary hypostyle hallway with its sixty towering and brightly decorated columns, the stunningly decorated tombs in the Valley of the Kings, and the enormous temples and fabulous treasures found buried with the legendary boy-king, Tutankhamun. What motivated the Egyptians to engineer such incredible monuments? What inspired them to create such extraordinary works of art? Was it the belief that mortal pharaohs were 'gods on Earth' who many times played host to numerous mythical sky gods? Or were they motivated by a world dominated by cosmic chaos inhabited by real god-king planets which repeatedly visited Earth for an incredible 3,000 years? Be prepared to read a book that will change the course of history.

From the Author

Overwhelming support for my synopsis 'The God King Scenario' (GKS) comes to us via the archaeological evidence, more specifically the lack of it, as follows...

In the face of the many hundreds of military expeditions carried out by the Pharaohs archaeologists have been unable to verify ANY of the events recounted in Egyptian records. This situation exists even though the location of Egypt's numerous conflicts are known. We would expect to find the remains of swords, arrow heads, battle axes, chariot parts, amour, and more importantly battle-scarred human remains or mass graves. However, there is a distinct lack of archaeological evidence and no data to support the existence of ancient battlefields. Upon close scrutiny, it becomes very obvious that the wars and battles of the kings exist in `sacred' words alone - that is of course, unless we look up and take into account the GKS.

Mr Gilligan has produced a very interesting and I think plausible account of the dual role of 'the gods' in ancient Egypt. It fits especially well with Velikovsky's work, which I find is a positive thing, despite the timeline not being in precise agreement. In fact, I think that Gilligan may well have struck on the truth of how the ancient Egyptians considered the all-powerful role of the planets and their own human reality together through the terrible events of the time and the filter of their abilities to comprehend. Where I depart from the positive commentary is where he claims that Mercury was born of Mars. Here he says that the iron body of Mercury is really the ejected core of Mars and that it was expelled through Mars' surface, a process that left behind a rift that we now see as the Valles Marinares region. Given the simplest selection of the observational evidence we have available to us these days, there is absolutely no indication that this is even a remote possibility, in fact, the totality of absent evidence makes this claim quite ludicrous - one only needs to spend a short time to see this. If people are looking for a much better answer to the history of Mars and its surface scarring then they should look at the Thunderbolts Project driven primarily by Dave Talbott and Wallace Thornhill at thunderbolts.info As far as Mercury is concerned, the real jury is very much still out on its origins. Apart from this departure from possible reality, the book is a good contribution to ancient mysteries and thought provoking read.

A true revelation! 16 April 2008
Format:Paperback
When I first started to read this book, I began to think that the author was a bit insane. After all, the proposal that errant planets such as Mars and Venus visited Earth for some 3,000 years in historical times in the guise of Egyptian divine kings and queens sounded unbelievable and I wasn't convinced. However, as Gilligan continued to unroll his theory, it slowly drew me in as he explained everything in great detail. Finally, it dawned on me that these things had happened. The catastrophe theories put forward in this book actually occurred because it all made complete sense. I even felt it filled in a number of gaps - the missing pieces of the jigsaw concerning ancient Egyptian history. For me, the God King Scenario isn't a theory - it is fact. It's a must-read for anyone with an interest in cosmology, astronomy or ancient history. I am now starting to read it for the fourth time. Absolutely riveting!
