Product Description

Product Description

Legend has it that hidden in the remote reaches of the Himalayan mountains lies a secret that would have saved Ponce de Leon from years of fruitless searching. There, generations of Tibetan monks have passed down a series of exercises with mystical, age-reversing properties. Known as the Tibetan Rites of Rejuvenation or the Five Rites, these once-secret exercises are now available to Westerners in Ancient Secret of the Fountain Of Youth. Peter Kelder's book begins with an account of his own introduction to the rites by way of Colonel Bradford, a mysterious retired British army officer who learned of the rites while journeying high up in the Himalayas. Fountain of Youth then offers practical instructions for each of the five rites, which resemble yoga postures. Taking just minutes a day to perform, the benefits for practitioners have included increased energy, weight loss, better memory, new hair growth, pain relief, better digestion, and just feeling younger.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bad book - good exercises, 31 Dec 2009

This review is from: The Ancient Secret of the Fountain of Youth (Hardcover)

I give only four stars for this book - the story is told in the book is not particularly well told, or unconvincing! But in contrast, I find the five exercises really, really good!
I dare not say that they actually makes one younger, but they do make one feel much more comfortable and in better shape. I can highly recommend the exercises - just skip the rest!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ancient secrets of the fountain of youth by Peter Kelder, 3 Feb 2012
This review is from: The Ancient Secret of the Fountain of Youth (Hardcover)
A wonderful book with a lot of useful information to improve your life. I am doing the 5 Tibetan rites on a daily basis and I have experienced positive changes in body and mind. I am aware that I actually live in my body. I am present.
Part five of the book I found especially enlightening. I quote from page 80 "Whether you realize it or not, you create and shape your life with your thoughts. All things that become part of your physical reality are iirst created in the mind." What a profound statement! How this knowledge can change the whole perception of one's existance! I can whole-heartedly recommend this book to all who are seeking to restore health, well-being, peace and equanimity.
