I have always wanted one of these storage jars as you can only buy them in America
I'd seen these on the cookery programme The Barefoot Countess so when a saw them on Amazon
I just had to have one well I'll be purchasing some more
as they are more attractive then the plastic containers that I have
The storage jar is very well made and heavy so it wont be so easy to crack
I have put sugar in mine it was a 5kg bag and it has taken all of the sugar and still plenty of room left
the item was very well packed I have seen some comments on Amazon America about the damage to the lids
so I have put some cling film tightly around the inside of the lid as it has a lip all around to cushion
this you would have to be very cack handed to damage it
Now am off to purchase some more

Perfect for my needs - flour! Just be aware that there isn't a rubber ring around the top / lid so need to be a little bit cautious when putting lid back on. Personally I don't think it's an issue and will definately be ordering a couple more!

Just had to have one of these jars after seeing them on Ina Garten's tv show. Looked really lovely in her kitchen and this looks equally lovely in mine.
Really easy to use my cup measures for flour now and I intend to perhaps get the smaller sized ones for sugar.
Beautifully made but you have to respect the fact that it is glass and should not be handled lightly.
Smooth edges all round the top and lid and I am really delighted with my purchase.
Super fast delivery and it was well packaged. A box wrapped in bubblewrap inside a bigger box.
It is a large jar and it took a large 3Kg bag of flour plus another two 1Kg bags so 5Kg in total. That filled the jar to below the rim.
Recemmended highly.

I was debating whether or not to spend £35 on a storage jar. It seems a bit rich, but I was desperate to find something to store my children's snacks.
I was a bit worried when I read some reviews on the American site saying that they found pieces of glass in their food. But how ridiculous as the quality of this jar is very very high! The glass is thick, sturdy and clear.
Additionally, the lid is strong and of very good quality, I can't imagine any pieces of glass falling off (no bubbles or thin pieces/areas.)
Yes, it's a bit pricey, but it's great quality and looks wonderful in my kitchen!

I only wish the first time I ordered it, when they told me they didn't have any left, that someone could have bothered to let me know they were back again. I found it accidentally. Otherwise would be 5 star
