This series was absolutely amazing! I first saw it on channel 4 and it was brilliant because it showed the human body as it is; giving a realistic view overall, which even McMinn's Atlas of Anatomy, although, very good, can only show still photographs of. I am a first year medical student and I found it gave me a brilliant foundation (even before I started my degree), which my lectures and dissection practicals have only built on. THe dissectors keep you glued and its a must watch for anyone studying, or simply just fascinated by human anatomy! But it relly isn't for the faint hearted!

When I first saw the box I howled with laughter. The top line says "Live and Uncut". Unintentional comic genius.
The programmes themselves are excellent. Books on anatomy can only go so far. Neat diagrams all colour coded etc. The body is not like that. The lymphatic system is not green and the endocrine system is not blue. Here you see the body in its natural, albeit non functioning state.

This is just like what was shown on Channel 4 years back, just without the adverts! Its shows Reproductive system, Digestive system, Respiration system and circulation system. Their is a menu at the begging so you can choose which one you want to watch, or choose to watch all of them. The picture and sound quality is brilliant.
Overall, if you have a strong stomach, and interested in learning about the Human body from an interesting view this DVD is a great buy! Totally worth the money as you can keep on going back on it and always learning a bit more.
