Paul Chilton provides exceptionally good insights into the cognitive effects of Political Discourse. I had been studying classic SFG and CDA and reading standard texts. Chilton brings in new angles and hybrids mixing psychology with CDA. I particularly enjoyed his 'cheater' angles- highliighted by Sperber- amongst others. His ideas on Deixis and Journey in political language also prove of worth to any MA/Phd student.
