Like the creature it takes its name from the Swiss Eagle range of timepieces comprises a range of high quality performance Swiss Made sports watches which demonstrate the same power, precision and dynamism from its namesake. Created in 1961 in Biel, Switzerland by noted watch professional, Hans Knoll the brand has dedicated itself to the production and development of finely tuned sports timekeeping instruments. The collection hosts three major themes covering the essential arenas where the most professional of experts need precise, robust and stylish timekeeping. Hans Knoll was a Swiss watchmaking pioneer who wanted to bring functionality and robust construction to Swiss Watch making. The name derives from the Swiss Eagle which is native to the majestic peaks of the Alps and is a truly magnificent creature, tremendously agile, streamlined with a strength and power unmatched. This is what we have attempted to design to reflect in our brand of Swiss made watches. While many Swiss watchmakers wanted to make beautiful dressy watches, Hans envisioned a line of solidly dependable watches that nonetheless were well designed and proportioned. Hans understood the rigours of outdoor life and wanted to create a line true to the functions needed for usage of timepieces in the SEA (DIVE), in the AIR (FLY) and on the ground (FIELD). Swiss Eagle represents the culmination of those efforts in combining Swiss made precision with robust timekeeping. Each watch is segmented to be suitable and able to perform to the conditions asked of it and still comes in at a price point that is sensible. By stripping out the fancy ad campaigns, and sponsorships synonymous with other brands we can bring to market the best of Swiss Watch making excellence at affordable pricing for enthusiast and professional alike. Building a watch is no easy feat. Building a Swiss Made watch employs the very highest levels of watchmaking. What makes the challenge even more unique with Swiss watches designed for performance is adding in and injecting the right design and production requirements needed to create a timepiece that is functional as an instrument more so than just a time-telling piece of jewellery. Our watch cases are stamped out from moulds and then individually carved by hand to the exacting designs of the watch. They are drilled and carved out to make room for pushers, crowns and the case back. Careful attention is taken to drill holes, attach components and to carve out lines and angles in a manner that allows the case, which is the heart of the final watch to hold together the mechanics and the ergonomics of the watch together. Watches from SWISS EAGLE are precisely produced not only to house and case the watch but are produced to a higher standard of relative water resistance and shock proofing against the elements. While the internal machinery of the watch is a finely tuned assembly of gears and components designed to produce pin point timing accuracy the challenge of the designers and engineers involved with our production is to produce a case that is robust enough to house these delicate machineries to withstand the forces of nature that surround the functioning of this timepiece. The lens is a utilization of scratch resistant sapphire lens found on the top end of watches and rarely used because of its expensive nature. More expensive to use on sports watches with higher water resistance as the lenses need to be even thicker than on simple flat dress watch lenses. The stainless steel cases and bracelets are made from 316L marine grade with a safety clasp dual pusher lock mechanism for extra security. On the DIVE models we have added extender attachments for professional use to help extend the bracelet over wet suits. The dials have hand applied indexes and are hand finished, we also use of high quality luminous materials to assist in lower visibility environments. The SE-9020-22 carries a Swiss made chronograph movement with date and is from the Fly family of watches. It features a contrasting blue dial with luminous hands and indices.
