I recently saw Ana at a local Blues club in Bishop Stortford and was inspired to buy an album. The concert was excellent, Ana can really play that Strat plus she has one of the tightest Drum & Bass backing teams I've ever heard. This is the latest album by Ana and the fact that it was live made it the obvious choice. Like the live concert the album starts with a great opening, occasionally losses it way but the majority of the songs have a real depth, soul and variety. The highlight tracks include Navajo Moon (Tribute to Steve Ray & Ronnie Earl, I just love this track), Comfort To The Soul (Littered with typical Ana guitar riffs) Bigtown Playboy (Ana really can play the blues) Won't let you down (This was a surprise track, when I saw Ana there was no keyboard, the keyboard really added an extra dimension) My Man (Great closing track, dedicated to her man, sorry guys). This CD is a great intro. to Ana, She could become one of the Blues greats. I hope Ruf Records know what they have.
Can't wait for the next album, due February next year 2007
