Poor performance 1 Jan 2010
I compared this product with other pulse oximeters in our practice that have been calibrated by our tech department and the oxygen saturation reading was consistently out and the reading was unstable. Also feels lightweight and fragile compared to others. On a positive note the pulse was correct.

Brought this as an alternative to the more expensive versions such as the Onyx range. This does everything the more expensive ones do, with a few minor differences. It does not have an led screen so cannot be viewed so easily in the dark and the hinge mechanism does not seem so robust, nor does it have a memory - you have to note the results. That said I have trialled it against our £500 ambulance hard wired model and it produces the same readings. It produces a reading within about 3 secs and I have found this quite adequate for on scene work. A torch or penlight gets over the LED issue. Would recommend this as a good value alternative to more expensive versions. Customer service was good and quick as well.

Health 5 Aug 2009
I have copt it is an ilness of the lungs and for 16 hours a day I have to use a concentrater, medical equipment is very expensive and as I need to monitor my heart rate, also my oxygen level in my blood, the pulseoximeter was a very reasonable price and I can monitor myself and not dont need a nurse to come out to do it.
