Ana studied English Literature at the University of Sheffield and gained a BA and MA before starting a career in publishing. Her first job was in the Publicity department at Random House, working on commercial fiction and non-fiction, and she later moved to Kyle Cathie where she publicised an illustrated list focussed on cookery, gardening and health. She is now Head of Publicity and Marketing at Michael O'Mara Books. Ana has organised campaigns for authors including Sir Roger Moore, Norman Wisdom, John Barrowman, Anthony Worrall Thompson and Clarissa Dickson Wright, and for brands including Wagamama and Green & Black's Chocolate.
Ana has contributed articles to various publications including Writers' Market UK, The Book Club Bible (Michael O'Mara, 2007) and The Bookseller magazine. She has appeared on national and regional radio talking about books, poetry and teenage diaries. Ana lives in South London with her husband and two demanding cats.
