Product Description

Product Description

Big Gorilla has an itch - and it's right in the middle of his back! Every creature he comes across says they have the perfect solution. But Big Gorilla tries everything he can - from scratching against a tree, to rolling on an anthill - and nothing seems to help. Even wallowing in mud like grunting Warthog doesn't do the trick! Finally he comes home to Baby Gorilla who provides the perfect cure for this irritating itch.

From the Author

This book is dedicated to my three daughters who are the best back scratchers in the world.
I had lots of fun writing this story... thinking of all the things that would happen to Big Gorilla as he tried to get rid of his itch.
Lynne Chapman's artwork is fantastic and really brings the story alive - making it a big favourite with the very young and the not so very young. --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

An Itch to Scratch 27 Feb 2006
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
I think this is the best book I have read for ages. Lynne Chapman came to my school and read it to us and it was brilliant. I really enjoyed it when we all joined in for the itchy bits when gorilla is trying to scratch the itch on his back by rubbing it on an anthill and a gum tree and in the mud. I think Lynne Chapman is really clever because her drawings are so good. I liked it when gorilla got all the mud on his tongue.
