Book Description

7 May 2012

An Irish Miracle is the story of Dillon and Alastar Connolly, young men separated by two generations and searching for their places in the world. From an Ohio farm to western Ireland and from the 1940s to present day, their journeys take them through peaceful countryside and personal challenges. The paths of these two young men cross in unexpected ways, never far from the people, the horses, and the lands they love.

Dillon begins his part of the adventure with more than a little trepidation, but he soon finds himself drawn to the beauty of the Irish countryside, and the kindness of the Irish people he meets along the way. Alastar's gift and passion for horses leads him to Ballybrit, home of the world-famous Galway Racecourse . . . and the fiery redhead, Rita O'Reilly.

Once you follow the emotional journeys of these two young men, you'll feel drawn to the Emerald Isle, just as they both were. And when five o'clock comes around, you just might find yourself searching for a well-poured pint of Guinness . . . or two.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Irish Miracle 16 July 2012
By jim mahan - Published on Amazon.com

Being from the same clan as Rob, I was especially interested in his fictional view of our heritage. Some of the stories reflect the Irish lore that was passed on in our early lives. He captures the local family pride that infuses us. He also spins a wonderful reflection of a clan member who leaves but never forgets the clan. Rob creates the strong relationships that exist among clan members and the issues that evolve when one of them deviates from the ethos of the group. For me, "An Irish Miracle" was a fascinating and meaningful read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Story You Must Enjoy! 1 Aug 2012
By Wendi S Meyer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book is a fantastic journey! I enjoy books that you can get lost in and don't want to put down. That was this book for me! I could not wait to see what happened next. The characters are so expertly written that you feel like you honestly know them. It seemed as if I was literally in Ireland sharing these character's struggles and joys. I welled up with tears more than once and laughed out loud as well. That may seem like a lot to promise from a book, but I assure you that is what to expect. A great read, a fun read, an emotional read - worth your time for sure. I cannot wait for the next adventure!

4.0 out of 5 stars "An Irish Miracle" is a fine read! 11 July 2012
By Beth - Published on Amazon.com

This was a fun ride. I rate books by how they make me feel. Does the book move me to feel any emotion? If it does, then I believe the writer has accomplished his/her goal. "An Irish Miracle" does a fine job in making the reader feel many things. I literally laughed out loud and I had a few tears. You will fall in love with the story and characters. I really enjoyed how the author tied together a complex family structure. As you read, you will undoubtedly see parts of your own family in each character. THAT is a fine way to know if a story is good. The kindness, love and humor of author comes out in the story. I'm a fan!! Loved it and am anxiously awaiting for the next!
