This is an excellent book to grasp the basic concepts of SSADM such as dataflow diagrams, entity relationship modeling and normalization. The two authors, Mr. M Ledjk and Mr. D Deeks have done a splendid job of simplifying SSADM concepts, that sometimes can be very confusing. I have also had the pleasure of being taught by these two University Lecturers and I know how very professional they are.

This book is a practical book which takes the reader through various structured analysis techniques. Throughout the book there are lots of examples which give the book depth. The book adheres to SSADM notation. Towards the end of the book object oriented analysis is also covered. This is a very useful text for students studying systems analysis on Undergraduate and Post Graduate courses and for IS practioners. I can recommend this book.

I had the privilege of being taught Systems Analysis by David Deeks at the University of Sunderland (2002-2003). This book not only explains Systems Analysis techniques in a very easy to understand manner but it actually makes understanding it totally enjoyable! It was not daunting to me in any way (which is what I expected) and was absolutley invaluable as not only a learning tool but as a reference guide too. It also includes a major section on Piso which proved extremely interesting.
I can only recommend that this is THE book for anyone studying Systems Analysis Techniques, and I hope that you get the same satisfaction out of it that I did.
