4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent starter book 9 April 2012

I purchased this book a bit late in my career. By the time I picked up a copy, I had years of experience with BSD and was already a fluent coder.

That said, I really wish I'd had a copy of this book when I was starting off with BSD (well, Unix in general). It is a good starter book for people looking to get into coding on Berkeley Unix.

This is a very good book for intro. in programming. There are lots of very examples and explainations of different terms.
Buy it and you'll enjoy it.
