5.0 out of 5 starsAbsolutely the most beautiful book I read!26 Mar 2013
By Marianne Campagna - Published on Amazon.com
This is the story of a young woman in her twenties during the Nazi time in Holland. She is an older Anne Frank. She reveals her heart and her soul in such honest prose that is at once inspiring and heart wrenching. She speaks directly to God, and amidst all the atrocities she never loses her humanity. I recommend this book as a must read for anyone in search of truth and purpose of life. Etty Hillesum is a beautiful soul worth knowing!

2.0 out of 5 starsTotal emotionality17 April 2013

Here is someone who lived her life on an emotional level----only. That, and her blatant sexuality make the book a turn-off, unless you, too are the same type.
