Grandfather clocks have always conjured up memories from childhood of visits to large historic country houses that open their doors to the public and I've always aspired to have a long case clock of my own. Reading through Dr.Firth's book is a great example of the passion and dedication that goes into the collections of these amazing clocks. If you have a chance to visit the exhibition in York then do, and you will leave wanting one of these magnificent clocks in your own living room. If York is too far then this beautifully put together colour book is the next best thing.
