This is a beautiful book that you will want to read and re-read.
It chronicles London past and present, starting with the Beatles on Abbey Road and the statue of Achilles in Hyde Park and ending with a Zebra and the Giraffe House in London Zoo.
Each letter of the alphabet has a double page spread, with a beautifully textured colour character and three or four black and white linocut illustrations on the left hand page, and colour linocut of a London landmark on the right hand page.
It includes all aspects of London life - from the Globe Theatre to the Shard.
I thoroughly recommend it for anyone who loves London.
