My 6 year old son loves this. It is fun. I was disappointed however that the k'nex is a smaller, thinner version of the 'normal' one (of which we have loads). You get no spare parts so when a piece inevitably breaks you have no replacement. It took a day for a part of one connector to break off. It's too small to glue. It's still working but the motor is no longer supported properly.

It is great fun my step daughter really enjoyed this present, i have since purchased 2 more knex toys and will be purchasing more for christmas presents.

Bought this K'nex toy for my nephew for his 5th birthday. He had previously been bought a light up ferris wheel from the same range as this, so I knew what to except with this toy. The K'nex is made from the thinner variety giving it much more flexible properties, I had never seen this type of K'nex until the ferris wheel. This may seem to give it an overall weaker feel but he and being 5 had no problems building this toy to fully working order on his own. Saying that since he was born he would never let anyone help him build anything and I would even say he is better at lego and K'nex that his 8yr old sister. Considering the equivalent type construction toys you can buy for the same price this is defiantly a winner.
