The amplicom powertel 6 is a simple to use gondola style home analogue telephone. It operates on the power from the telephone line only so there is no need to connect the handset to a power socket. The amplicom powertel 6 has premium hearing aid compatibility which makes it excellent for hearing aid users as it links directly with T coil hearing aids thanks to a built in coupler.It comprises a very loud receiving volume of upto 35dB and a loud ringing volume of upto 82dB. There is bright visual ring indicator on the handset so you will never miss an incoming call again and the powertel 6 handset can also be wall mounted as well.

I ordered this phone for my father who wanted a simple/Small black phone. This was the closest I could find and the price was ok, the only down side that affected my rating was that the Cable Connection at the end of the lead supplied was not a BT Plug but some sort of French type. So had to fuss around getting a replacement cable with the correct Plug.

Before purchasing this phone I contacted Amazon regarding a review I had read, by someone else, who said that the lead for connecting the phone to the line was foreign and would not fit, and he had a lot of trouble sorting this. I asked for some information on this but the reply from Amazon was unhelpful. I therefore took a chance and ordered it. Wrong decision!! It had to be returned. I do not understand why this is for sale, without this information included in the description. It would save the problem in having to return it.

The loud settings really are loud. A very straightforward phone that does exactly what I want it for-answering the phone and making calls.
