This was bought for an 85 year old who struggles with her eyesight and finds any gadget tricky. Previous mobile phones were too complicated with tiny screens and small buttons. This phone largely overcomes those problems and also is of benefit to the hard of hearing as the volume can be set very loud. It still remains difficult for some elderly folk to cope with modern gadgets, but I think this phone makes it as easy as it can be.

Can be seen and heard. Type is large enough to be able to see it. Loud enough too.
Hands free very useful. First phone I have been able to text on.
only problem found is it can be activated by pressure in a pocket accidentally.

The Amplicon telephone arrived promptly, well packaged and ready to go. The quality of the 'phone is excellent and it does everything it says on the tin. The only drawback is the size which is a little large and I found it impossible to find a 'phone case that would fit. Eventually I bought a spectacle case for £1.50 (from Rayners, the opticians) which does the job perfectly.

Could be simpler.
My mum is 87 and lives alone. Being able to communicate with me when she is out on her own is vital for her. Her old phone had small buttons and a small screen. Read more

Even my nan can use it!
