This review is from: The Amorous Prawn [VHS] (VHS Tape)
It is a real pity that this film isn't currently available on DVD, as it is surely a lesser-known treasure.

When Gen. Sir Hamish Fitzadam (Cecil Parker) has to go abroad for a few weeks, he leaves behind his charming wife, Lady Dodo Fitzadam (Joan Greenwood) and a team of army recruits, who are responsible for running a military establishment, set in the highlands of Scotland. He is due to retire shortly and the couple's dream of a house and a comfortable future cannot be realised, because the army pension is insufficient. Lady Fitzadam decides to run the huge house as an hotel for paying guests, remunerating the workforce with "Lolly", over and above their normal wages. It works well, especially when they take on some American guests.

Some fine performances from Ian Carmichael, Liz Frazer, Derek Nimmo and Dennis Price, ensure this British farce is a fast-paced, comical adventure, with laughs all the way.
