This review is from: American Diction for Non-Native Speakers (Paperback)
What a great way to improve american pronounciation, for both fluent no native english speakers whose aim is to perfectionate their pronounciation and for those who are still learning english,as I do, and really want to achieve an american accent..The book is very clear and complete, the audio files are well organized and easy undestandable. You can easily download them for free in your pc, ipod etcc. and do the exercices no matter where you are..Low price and high quality! I really suggest it!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Really great help!!, 28 Jan 2011

As an Italian actor who sometimes acts in English, I needed help with my diction. Series 1 has helped me understand the differences in consonant sounds and to correct my pronunciation. I now feel that I have better control of my diction. The listening tests in the book are helpful to hear the differences in very similar sounds. I highly reccomend this book to people who want to improve their American diction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Chrissie Oppedisano's American Diction book helpful for all, 10 Mar 2011
By Carol Sudhalter - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: American Diction for Non-Native Speakers (Paperback)
I teach English diction to jazz singers in Italy. This book addresses questions that I didn't know how to explain: rules for pronunciation, rules for plurals, and much about how, physically, to form the English sounds. The distinction between voiced and unvoiced sounds is wonderful. The explanations are clear and understandable, and the cover cartoon is marvelous and definitely a learning tool. I am going to use this handbook with all my classes.
