I have now bought 5 different reference guides, including the baby Barash, baby Nagelhout, and baby (Miller?-i got rid of it). This one is well laid out, and like all Oxford guides, has book marks (that sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?). Without wasting time on stuff you don't need to read to prep for an unexpected OR case, this book breaks down the nitty gritty of what you need to know to get through the procedures, from type of anesthesia you can give, to details on things for which to watch out.
While it may cease to be as useful as i transition into being a CRNA, i know that i will still keep this one in my locker so that when i get stuck in a new procedure i've never done (or haven't done in a while), i can reference my options and remind myself of the things i should expect and for what i need to be attentive.
