5.0 out of 5 stars Very Listenable, 15 May 2008
By S. Hurford "ceridwendilys" (Powys) - See all my reviews

I have listened to this loads. It's a really catchy album. It is also quite dark & cynical in places, but not without the odd dry bit of humour thrown in.
I would say this album would probably appeal to Smiths & Morrissey fans, but anyone should give it a go really. 'New Art for the People' is a real stand out song & has a beautiful melody as the intro proves.
Julia in particular has a lovely voice & could well have been the next Nancy, had she applied to the BBC's 'I'd Do Anything', but I guess she wouldn't be in the Indelicates then & that would be a real shame.

5.0 out of 5 stars What are you doing?, 26 Mar 2008

Don't read this review. Buy the album, otherwise you'll never know what it sounds like. Seriously, don't trust some guy who has already heard it ... he might like a completely different kind of music - hiphop for example, or polka. He might have listened to it after a heavy night of drinking and be in a heightened emotional state that leads him to hate it simply because he considers his hatred to be something profound. So don't trust him. He's a drunk who likes to tell other people what music to like. Plus he likes Polka.

5.0 out of 5 stars You should buy this, 8 Jul 2009
By Graham Isherwood - See all my reviews

This is the best album I have heard in years. Great tunes and great lyrics that really make you sit up and think. Made me spend some time on Wikipedia too after listening to try and understand all the topics which only made it even richer. But you will certainly find yourself singing along to this as well. You will indeed want to be 16 after this, and hate the kids too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Strange but true
Like Simon Indelicate's other work, this album has an honesty that is lyrical and hard-hitting at the same time. Read more
