If you're reading this you're probably a fan already. This 3rd series is as good as any of the previous ones, clever and outrageous story lines, great jokes and some occasional hilarious profanity! This is a real pleasure to watch, again and again!

There's only a couple of bad points: Klaus is becoming less and less funny, the extras are good but not great, I miss the casts interviews and stuff like that. Also the quality of the DVD itself is disappointing, you can see it's just a cheap transfer of the original American DVD, especially when you pause the picture. On one episode the screen even wobbles noticeably for a couple of seconds.

These points however do not dtract from an overall great product that will give you hours of viewing pleasure.

Buy it and enjoy!

Absolute genius in this season! There are hilarious references to movies in these episodes, a common one relates to Roger and E.T, the episodes are A.T. The Abusive Terrestrial and Franny 911. I also love the plot in the very first episode "Bush Comes To Dinner" this episode learnt me new things about past and present US Presidents (excluding Barrack Obama)

This show, in my opinion does not get the recognition it deserves, I always hear people going on about how Family Guy is amazing and hilarious. Yes I have all the Family Guy seasons as well as American Dad, at first when I saw the first season of AD, I said "it`s good, but it`s no Family Guy" Now I realise that AD is going up and FG is stooping down, on almost every episode there is foul language or rude scenes and frankly I don`t find that funny.. but AD has barley any of that, just the odd swear word and thats it. That is why I love American Dad, it`s humour has a limit, and lets the laughter flow naturally, where Family Guy pushes you and pushes you to laugh by having repetitive scenes and going back to the same jokes, sometimes you just want them to get on with it...

If you are a AD fan, you will love this and every other season, if you are new to AD, grab them all if you can and settle into a new and more witty humour! :D

I won't go into the contents of this box or the quality of American Dad! as a series per se. I just want to point out, that the UK releases of American Dad! might be more or less chronological (box 3 leaves out the 8th episode of series 3, a christmas special), but are released not in a season-per-box way. Read: This "Volume 3" contains the episodes 10 to 19 of season 2 plus the first 7 episodes of season 3 and episode 9 of season 3. Basically all episodes (apart from the said x-mas episode) that were originally shown in 2007 in the US. Just to clear things up a bit.

Stan Smith CIA weapons expert is back with all his patriotic zeal leading to eighteen new and very funny episodes. Where as the latest season of Family Guy is a little stale and thin on the jokes this Seth MacFarlane series is still reaching new heights.
This season contains episodes like "Dope & Faith" in which Stan finds the perfect friend who is atheist & "Black Mystery Month" a truly big conspiracy about peanut butter..

I loved every episode especially "The Vacation Goo" which is my favorite.
This is definitely worth buying.

Like Family Guy did in its first few seasons, American Dad is just getting better and better with time.
These episodes are a lot more subtle, clever and varied than those in the first series. Roger and his costumes take a more central part as most episodes run along two or three narrative threads. Steve has become a more complex character, while Stan has developed from being a one dimensional right-wing CIA man into a troubled character whose right-wing character explains a lot about his past and hides a lot about his present.
This season feels a lot more organic - in that the characters now have lives rather than just being constructs in Seth MacFarlane's notebook - and the show is a lot richer for it.
The humour is sharp - both for the obvious gags and the more hidden ones.
It's like the evil (and better) offspring of the Simpsons.

It's not as funny as the previous series, most of the time i can't really put my finger on whats wrong but i didn't laugh as much and a lot of the plots didn't really connect. The commentarys which are usually such a delight were mainly the people who don't normally talk (they were done during the writers strike) and you can tell. There are a huge amount of deleted scenes though and the ComicCon table read is joy to watch. Seth McFarlanes face when he's doing characters and the reaction to Francine/Wendy Schaals vibrator just kills me.

American dad just gets better and better, this series contains one of my favourite ever episodes 'ET and the abusive terrestrian' where Roger sings 'when I was his alien',I also loved 'Franie 911' I prefer AD to Family guy for so many reasons, Francine is less annoying than Lois and you have Roger the alcoholic alien. There doesn't seem to be a Christmas episode in this box set which is it's only downside.

As good as the first 2 series.I enjoyed it more after repeated viewings and it grew on me as i missed some of the jokes 1st time around.
I think American Dad is a bit cleverer than Family Guy and obviously more political but Family Guy is still the best IMO.
The Magnificent Steven is my favourite episode and i would have given this dvd 4 1/2* and not 5* if i could but wanted to boost the overall rating.

Fun enough to watch and better than some previous series but not as engaging as the first series of American Dad or Family guy.
This (volume 3) is one half of the American series 3, you need volume 4 to complete the series. Bear in mind this means you're getting less episodes for your money
