In 1940, seven-year-old Tony Bailey was evacuated to the US - one of more than 16000 children sent overseas at a time when a Nazi invasion of England seemed inevitable. He was sent to Ohio and four years later returned to Southampton. Bailey relates his dual identity of being American and British.
