Amen Andrews is an alter-ego of Luke Vibert, and if I had realised that earlier I would have bought this when it came out but I don't think this had any publicity, I only found out by chance after reading something about something else and it briefly mentioned this CD. After having been really impressed by the most recent Wagon Christ album and the Kerrier District album, I hoped this would be just as good, and it is. Each Luke Vibert name seems to indicate a different approach to electronic music and that is the case with Amen Andrews. some of the tracks on this CD are slower dubstep style tracks with very heavy slabs of bass, and some are early 90s jungle influenced tracks with lots of Amen-brother loops as the name suggests. overall it's like a cross between the Lover's Acid compilation and the Plug - "Drum and Bass for Papa" album, only heavier, and by 'heavier' I mean break-your-speakers type heavy. definitely recommended for anyone who has liked any of luke vibert's material before, especially the more drum'n'bassy stuff. 5 stars
