I purchased this bed, it arrived within a few days. The packaging looked very small on arrival but there were no problems.
The instructions for assembly were very basic but that was fine, the bed was very easy to put together, most pieces were manufactured so they would only fit one way. Allen key was provided and it was the only tool needed. They are many wooden pegs that are used to hold the joints in place, I used some wood glue on these to make the more secure, the glue was not provided with the bed. Everything slotted together with ease and there were no missing screws or fixings. Assembling the bed is a one man job, it took slightly less than an hour to complete.
Major problem with the bed. The long side pieces of the bed, which the all the other piece fit into, are not a single piece of wood. They are made up of lots of poorly glued together sections. This is where all the strength of the bed is found, they are the pieces that support all the weight. After a couple days of use by my 12 year old son, these pieces broke in half. The bed is now a broken heap on the floor and can't be used.
In conclusion, this is a very simple cheap bed. It looks ok in the photo but the quality of the build and wood is very poor. If it can't support the weight of a 12 year old child, it could no way support an adult. Thankfully, my son was not hurt when it broke.

This bed is brilliant- it feels sturdy, was easy to assemble, fitted together perfectly, and looks great.

A surprisingly good quality bed for the price. Unlike other flat pack items I have bought before all the parts were present and it was simple to put together (so my husband says!)
Our son likes it and has slept well in it. I'm going to make something padded to go against the headboard as he often bumps his head on it but this isn't the fault of the bed!
