I concur with the other reviews. This is an amazingly effective piece of kit. Cut a lime in half, place the cut side down in the cup, squeeze the handles and Bob's your uncle. Effortless juice extraction, and the skin, flesh and pips can be removed in one piece for discarding. No mess all over your hands, no mopping up of fleshy bits and seeds, and consequently so easy to clean afterwards.

I would suggest though that there is no real need to get this particular squeezer, but to get the same brand of lemon squeezer instead. I wondered if the relative size and curvature of the cup might make this smaller squeezer more efficient with the smaller fruit. I performed an experiment, cutting two limes in half and using one half of each (to average out any difference in yield between the two fruit) with this squeezer and one half of each with the lemon squeezer. The amount given by the lemon squeezer was in fact slightly more that yielded by this squeezer. So within experimental error the lemon squeezer is certainly not any worse at squeezing limes. The other advantage of using the lemon squeezer with the limes is that there is less chance of juice squirting out of the sides of the cup, as occasionally happens.

So with hindsight I would probably have only bought the lemon squeezer rather than both. Having said that, if you are squeezing a number of both limes and lemons on the same occasion, for example when making a number of cocktails, it's nice to have both. Note that there is also an orange squeezer of the same make.

These squeezers are brilliant! They really get the most juice from each lime. Have a read about how to put the lime in - it isn't the way that looks most logical, but is the most effective way. I'd seen these used in a bar and am delighted to have a lime and lemon one now at home.

Simplest is definitely best! Never mind complicated, expensive machinery with levers etc.
Insert your half lime cut side down.
    Close and squeeze.
The peel inverts, ALL the juice is extracted in one movement and the pips, skin and peel remain in the squeezer.
Can't wait until the lemon squeezer is available!

I've seen this product used by a couple of tv chefs and thought I would buy and try it. It is great, easy to use and no pips in the food. Also bought the lemon juicer too.

I saw a barman in a cocktail bar use a similar product so looked for one. This is sturdy and does the job without having to clear pips and clean strainers. A great product!

The amount of lime juice that comes out of this is amazing. So easy to use. Just rinse clean. No pips.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend this if you don't use a lot of limes. I cook and bake, and one of my favorite recipes is sticky lime and coconut cake, which I tend to make a lot.

Excellent item, very strong and a great price.
TIP: before you squeeze your lime, roll the whole lime on the kitchen worktop to soften the lime. - It squeeze alot more easily. However, this sqeezer can cope with an unrolled lime :-)

I have a very small kitchen, and gadgets have to earn their right to living space, but this absolutely makes it. Limes are hard to squeeze any other way - with this you press out all the juice in a jiffy (!).

The people giving bad reviews haven't figured out that you put the lime in cut side down (cut side of fruit to curved side of press).

Rinses out in a second too.
