Product Description

3 stories in 1 book: Amber and the Butterfly Fairies, Amber and the Black Crystals, Charlotte and the Unicorn.

Three fantasy tales for girls aged 6-years-old and above, read about Amber's adventures with the butterfly fairies then follow Charlotte and her friend through the spiky tunnel in search of a real unicorn.

Amber and the Butterfly Fairies:
Seven-year-old Amber has been looking forward to the summer holidays for ages ... but when Socks the cat brings a delicate, brightly coloured object home in his mouth - Amber's summer holiday turns into an adventure she could never have imagined.

What is a butterfly fairy? How did Socks get hold of a butterfly fairy's wing? Where is the fairy portal? What are 'dragonfly whispers'? Will Amber ever get to see a butterfly fairy?

Amber and the Black Crystals:
Amber's best friend, Katy, is hit by a car and now lies in a coma in hospital. The doctors don't know when, or if, she will wake up. What can Amber do?

Is Amber the only person who can save Katy? What did Amber and her granddad find in Duxbury Wood? Who is Madeline, and why has she contacted Amber? What is a queen butterfly fairy? What are the black crystals, and why does Amber need to get her hands on them so desperately?

Charlotte and The Unicorn:
Eight-year-old Charlotte is having a 'bad day'. Her ballet lesson was disappointing and earlier she had found her beloved goldfish, Charlie, floating on top of the water in his bowl.

While Charlotte is burying Charlie in the garden she makes a discovery which will lead her, and her best friend, Sarah, into the adventure of a lifetime.

What is a hedgehog stone, and where will it lead Charlotte and her friend, Sarah? What is a 'believer' ... and what do they believe in? Who, or what, is Four-six-seven? Scaly parasol mushrooms and the fearsome woolly warthogs are all part of the journey, but to what end?

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful book! 21 Aug 2012

This is a lovely little book. It contains three short stories, and each one is just as good as the one before. Although a book for children, this certainly appeals to me as an adult, and reminded me a lot of my own childhood and really captured the magic a child feels during school holidays! A truly charming and magical read, I recommend it for both adults and children alike!
